Heartbreaker

One of the Eastern Conference playoff games is between the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls. The Pistons are the absolute favorite. The Pistons are now up three games to none. In game three the Bulls were up by 17 points. But the Pisotns came back and won. The Bulls heart is gone. In game four the Bulls will get swept.

Vick: The trouble family

Michael Vick is in trouble again. Vick blamed a member of his family some property he owned and they were having dog fight. Many animal rights groups want Vick to get a long suspension. Dogs in the house were having fight to the death battles. He says he is never at the house. I believe him until he is proven guilty.

Blood or Ketchup

Curt Schilling is getting persecuted by the media for his sokc not containing blood. Curt wore his sock that clotted up and bleed in the 2004 MLB playoffs. Baltimore Orioles brodcaster Gary Thorne said Red Sox catcher Doug Mirabelli had told him it was paint. It was said to be a publicity stunt. This is very believeable. Now Curt is offering anyone who can prove his sock has paint on it , 1 million dollars. Doug said this was a lie. Another note curt's sock is in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

They are the Warriors

The Warriors were expected to get swept by the Mavericks. But heading into game 4 they are up 3 games to 1 game. The top MVP candidate Dirk and his team needs to kick it into high gear. If the Warriors play the way the have been playing the Western Conference's Number one seed will be gone.

Swept!

The Miami Heat went down 3-0 to the Chicago Bulls. It looks like all hope is lost. They have given this series their best shot with a hurt Wade. I predict they will get swept. They are too old to run with the bulls. The bulls have a whole starting lineup that is full of potential all- stars. The heat is full of old veterans.

Two Overmatched Teams

The Mavericks and the Spurs seem to have met their matches. The Spurs paly the Nuggets, and the Mavericks play the Warriors. Both teams come in to their series overconfident. They both are capable of winning the series but they are playing around. Predictions: Mavs4 Warriors3; Nuggets4 Spurs2

No Repeat?

The Miami Heat went down 2-0 to the Chicago Bulls. I have heard all this talk about a repat, but they have to make it past the first round. The Bulls have a underated offense. They can run with some of the best teams. They have kept Shaq in check with minimum damage. Can the Heat come back? We will see!

Federer who?

For the fourth time in a row Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in a tennis match. But still Roger has won 10 grand slams. Nadal beat him at the Monte Carlo Masters to make it four. He beat him at Monte Carlo, Rome Masters, French Open, and Monte Carlo this year. What a one sided one-two matchup. Roger is still number one. Nadal is still number two.

Ouch! Rivera is rocked

A-Rod's two homers and four RBIs came in an losing effort. But he was overshadowed by the collapse of Yankee's closer Mariano Rivera. He has played 7 games and has a 8.44 ERA. To go with that he has two blown saves including last nights. Some proclaim he is the greatest closer of all time. I do agree, but he is just struggling now. Rivera just needs a few games to build back that confidence. I hope he does not go into "Brad Lidge mode". Lidge got benched by the Houston Astros. " The Sandman" {rivera} will be back to All- Star form in a few games.

Duke's Coaching Blues

Duke's new women's basketball coach is Joanne McCallie. She was the former coach of Michigan State. She coached at Michigan State for seven years. Duke's former coach Gail Goestenkors took the coaching job at Texas. She has taken 11 teams to the big dance. This 45 year-old coach is challanged with keeping the Duke program up.This will not be such a hard task. She was the 2005 NCAA Women's Coach of the Year. Coach McCallie said this is her dream job. She was highly recruited by Duke when she was in high school. But her mother persuaded her to go to Northwestern. She just signed a $100,000 contract at Michigan State. Duke was one of the few teams that could pay her more than that. We will have to see how coach McCallie and the Duke women's basketball team does.

The Big Question

Would you take Kevin Durant or Greg Odgen? ODgen is a powerful postplayer, but Durant is a swift wingman. Durant reminds me of a tall more defensive Tracy Mcgrady. Odgen reminds me of a young Shaq. I myself would rather have Odgen. He can be a factor on any team. But Durant needs the ball to excel. Don't get me wrong Durant is an excellent defender, but Odgen is one of the best. Odgen can get offense but he already has the hard part, defense. But either way you are getting an excellent player. My final decision:Greg Odgen

NBA Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs have started today. The Heat just lost to the Bulls. A stellar preformance was given by Loul Deng. Shaq fouled out late in the fourth quarter. D- Wade took over but it was not enough. The Bulls had a gameplan and stuck with it. Their main objective was to double Shaq and get him in foul trouble. Game two will be in Chicago on Tuesday night. This will be the best series, I predict.
